goofy

i can say this two ways...1) we're back! translated, yeah! so excited to be home in our own bed, in our own house and in our "real" life. or 2) we're back. (notice the absence of exclamation point) translated, we're not in kauai on the beautiful beach with warm water and pretty fish.

i'm feeling somewhere in middle of these...

there are many more posts coming on our trip, but for starters here are the goofy kids that tagged along...

shane - this kid turned into a fish since the last time we saw him. he was swimming out in the middle of the ocean, we'll, not the middle, but in some very deep water. he would go in the rough waves and came snorkeling with us a few times. he's an absolute fantastic swimmer. way to go shane!

lyla, eating her toes while enjoying the view from the bedroom. she LOVED the beach, loved the sand, loved the water. she also love the fish motif in the house where we were staying. i would have never known how many pictures, sculptures, and cupboard handles had fish on them if she would not have said, "ish" every time we passed one.

hailey - if i we're an old man, this is what i would say about hailey...she has more personality than the day is long. she cracks me (and everyone around her) up on a regular basis. this is her snuggin' the kitty (you can't tell it's a kitty, but trust me, it is). the house we stayed at came with what i think was a neighborhood kitty. it was a ton-o-fun, very friendly and playful. hailey was in love.

and eli...in shane's glasses with morning hair. the first day we were there we passed a burger king when eli yelled, "how did burger king get here!!!"
