overflow

springtime overflows are sometimes a pain, making biking to downtown difficult. there is an upside though, and thats the overflow by our house makes a super fun playground for these crazy kids...

 exploring...
 making nature bouquets:)

geese

the kids usually are not supper excited to take walks in the evening, but tonight they were rewarded with overflow dipping...
i love his smile...

and then next day we came upon this on our walk...this family let us walk beside them for as long as we wanted. they didn't try to get away and only hissed if the kids got to close to them (not the babies, bad parents!). they were so cute!

overflows are good times

city of rocks

this is by far the coolest place i have been in idaho. the biggest rocks i have ever seen, amazing formations, views everywhere and beautiful weather. we had such a great weekend, my favorite camping trip in our adopted state.
our (super cool) campsite, the tent was around the corner.
 our tent:)
you can hardly see them, but eli and adam are on the left side of this rock formation, look for the bright green shirt.

you just don't get an idea of how massive this place is, even from pictures. this rock was HUGE. pics don't do it anywhere near justice.
the best rainbow ever. it was so brilliant, and with the rocks and clouds and bushes it was breath taking.
breakfast on the rock with a million dollar view...
eli was so proud of himself for snapping this picture of me enjoying my coffee and the amazing view. good job eli:)
we found so many cool arches in our exploring...
me on my favorite rock. this is only the top 1/4 of the giant. again, pics just don't compare to the real deal.
adam and the kids hiked to this crazy ledge...
camp food always tastes better than everyday food. here adam is cooking steak, but this trip he created "camp super nachos," which is our new favorite camping dinner.

on the way home we stopped at 1,000 springs hot spring pool. the log is our favorite:) and how often do you see a high dive at a hot spring?!? and then it was over:(

mother's day

a tradition we try to keep (weather pending) is a bike ride downtown for a mother's day dinner
love these people so much. happy and blessed that i get to do life with them.
just had to post this one, lyla had her barbie zip tied into her basket...hair blowing in the wind...
