11 years

every year the same thing, “i can’t believe they are xyz years old!!!” but it’s STILL true. i can’t believe he is 11 years old.

he had so much fun at his last backyard nerf party that he wanted to do it again.

it was a dreary, gray, foggy, wet and COLD day. but the kids had fun anyway, of course.

lyla was trying a new trick, a back fly away off the monkey bars. she let go with one hand but not the other which led to a wonky landing and this:(

i didn’t see it happen, but knew as soon as i heard her crying that it was broken. you can see how bent it is, especially in the first picture. it was a rough afternoon.

we got whale skunked this trip, but we did see a lot of fun lovin’ dolphins and got to spend a day on the water, not so bad;)

after breakfast we went to the UCSD campus to check out the crooked house and crazy huge snake

this place was such a trip! even walking into it made us dizzy.

as i *may* have mentioned else ware on this blog, la jolla is one of my favorite place on this earth. it’s.just.beautiful. this day was exceptional, even for la jolla. the water was hawaii clear and smooth and just amazing.

jesse has some pretty fun tick kites. eli is a natural. he was able to spin and unpin the kite without tangling the strings. it was impressive for his first time.
