after a pretty dry winter so far, we got snow a few days before Christmas! we’ve been pretty lucky on the white Christmas front the last few years.
here they are, ready to go!

year three of backyard nerf battle for eli’s birthday! the kids love it every year. we’ve had snow on the ground and they STILL stay out there for hours. this year we lucked out and had pretty good weather (in the upper 20’s). the kids played until dark!

| lyla had her first piano recital just before Christmas. she LOVED it. i said, “you didn’t even look nervous!” she said, “i wasn’t! it was SO fun!!!” mind you, this is my girl who just recently started talking to waiters. the girl who would rather go without than ask a “stranger” for anything. but put her in front of a piano and 50 strangers and she’s ready to rock! |

| lyla was the youngest student performing, she looked so tiny compared to the big kids. it was such a great experience. she did fantastic! hopefully next year eli will want to join in the fun:) |

| my parents, twylla and grandpa took a trip over to twin falls to visit my grandpa’s cousin. he hadn’t seen her since they were teenagers! |

| after the conference we drove to oceanside, oregon for a few days. my parents rented this cute house on a hill overlooking the ocean. house was the whiteish one just to the lower right of the teal one. such a perfect spot. |

| the building used to be where they would bring ships in to repair them. they have left some spaces open so you can see the old machinery. it's pretty cool. |
