| remember the house hunting debacle of 2011-2012? we had sold our house but couldn’t find one we wanted to buy (for two looong years), so we rented. sometimes i think we went through that frustrating time just so we would meet these guys. Isaac and eli had known each other for five whole minutes when isaac decided that one of them should marry into the others family so they could be related! they were fast friends, and the rest of us followed suit. we miss having them two doors down. they have since moved out of state and we haven’t seen them in over two years. It was so great to spend the morning with them. happy and safe travels novak family! |

| keri and i decided a while back that we needed a ladies weekend. we headed to mccall with this fun group for a weekend of eating ice cream, shopping, walking, paddle boarding and talking. a lot of talking. these ladies are such a blessing. |

| grandpa was visiting keith and ellen in vancouver, so we drove over with my parents for the week. we visited the vista house near multnomah falls, such a beautiful place... |

| the top part of multnomah falls was still closed due to the fire last year. but at least we were able to get this far. grandpa was a horse, always 20 steps ahead. not bad for an 84 year old. |

| i couldn't let this post end without telling you about grandpa's new best friend. zoe here followed him everywhere. she always wanted to sit by him and snuggle. it was hilarious. |

| camel's back has been so nice this cool spring/summer we're having. we've spent a few evenings there this week hiking around and testing our eli's new frisbee. such sweet times. |

| nancy came to visit for a few days. she hasn't been here since 2006, boise has changed so much since then. |

| these ladies love the sand. they spend hours digging and rolling and digging some more. |

| the kids had a blast in babylon this week. the vbs at eagle naz has been off the hook amazing. live animals (including a camel!), awesome worship, fun crafts and CUTE costumes, i mean, look at these kids! so cute:) |
