saint patrick’s day

we celebrated saint patrick’s day at my moms with corned beef and cabbage, green sprite, green cake and green ice cream. what st. pattys day celebration would be complete without a small fire in a pie pan…

yes, he was supervised…yes, he did burn himself…yes, he LOVED it none the less.

happy birthday jamie!

we celebrated jamie’s birthday tonight at my parents house with a family dinner.  praying for blessings in this new year of life! last week we celebrated yogi and zion’s birthday with an ice skating party.  the kids LOVED it

caucusing

i had the honor to be part of idaho’s first caucus last week.  it was the largest in the nation (by double!) with 9,000 participants.  i took this picture way before the event started.  by the time it began, ALL of those gray seats were full. 
the process was long, at times boring, but very encouraging.  the night opened with  scripture reading and prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  then the pledge with every hand over heart and every mouth in motion.  and the finale (as far as i was concerned!) the national anthem sang by 9,000 America loving people…oh man, it was beautiful.  though my man did not get our delegates:( it was well worth the evening spent.

snow, wahoo!

we had a pretty sweet snow last week. it was the  most snow we’ve had in the valley all year…

it’s 61 degrees and cloudy! you know what that means…

it’s swimsuit weather!

yesterday it was 47 degrees in the late morning when the kids went out to bounce.  when they opened the door they said, “it’s HOT, we have to take our shirts off!!!”  they’re definitely idaho grown!

she has also offered her aunt twylla, her grandma and myself skiing lessons. 
did i mention she’s been twice?

the other day lyla and adam were playing go fish with a deck of cards that had different pictorial stories from the bible. she said they should call it "God fish" instead of "go fish":)
