yesterday it was 47 degrees in the late morning when the kids went out to bounce.  when they opened the door they said, “it’s HOT, we have to take our shirts off!!!”  they’re definitely idaho grown!

eli – why?
me – so I can go fast.
lyla (in all seriousness) – so you can catch up with me?

she has also offered her aunt twylla, her grandma and myself skiing lessons.
did i mention she’s been twice?

lyla...

the other day lyla and adam were playing go fish with a deck of cards that had different pictorial stories from the bible. she said they should call it "God fish" instead of "go fish":)

bars

i've kinda fallen off the blogging planet since adam’s surgery.  he went in on the 9th to have two bars put in his chest to fix his pectus excavatum.  the surgeon was very pleased with the results.  praise the Lord!  and thank you everyone who prayed for him!   it’s been a long few weeks post surgery, but adam is doing very well and recovering a little more each day.  i'll post some before and after pictures sometime soon.

eli and lyla could hardly wait to give him the gifts they got for him.   lyla got him a butterfly balloon and a dora the explorer washrag (the kind that are pressed into little shapes and plastic wrapped).  eli got a frog balloon and a diego washrag.  so. super. cute.  during his six day hospital stay they were eager every morning to go visit dad in the hospital and so sad to go when it was time to leave.

boarding with keri

Keri in eli's jacket
the husbands were super sweet and watched the kiddos while keri and i hit the hill. we were almost there when i realized had forgotten my jacket…with my pass attached. i couldn’t believe it. it’s not everyday that just us mama’s get to go boarding/skiing by ourselves, and i thought i had ruined it…enter keri. “ i can wear eli’s jacket!” no way, i thought. she proceeded to put it on…it fit, all but the sleeves. she wore a fleece with hand warmers tucked underneath in the gap between the coat and the gloves. that’s friendship:) THANK YOU KERI!!!
Kt snowboarding with keri
it was a beautiful day with snow capped mountains as far as wee could see. that’s me sporting keri’s jacket…which, amazingly enough, fit me.
