zoo boise

the zoo has the butterfly exhibit open for summer….
eli was a butterfly magnate…just call him the butterfly whisperer...i can see why they like him so much, he's a pretty cool guy:)
unfortunately, they weren’t as attracted to lyla, she was holding her hand out for at least 10 minutes…
her patience paid off…
mine did too…
they must have just needed to get to know her, because after one landed on her, all the others joined in…
just another reason to love summer.

spring recap

spring is just about the best thing around theses days.  even after living here for 8 years i come out of winter thinking, "i can't believe that just happened."  it's cold.  it's cloudy. and....it's COLD.  yes, there is snowboarding and skiing, those helps a lot, but it's still a rough part of the year for me.  BUT, spring.is.awesome.  especially this spring, we've had some amazingly beautiful days, lot's of them in the 70's, with blue sky and a light breeze.  perfect.

eli and i had a bike park date on one of those "california" days.

we've spent a lot of time in the cul-de-sac.  lyla is getting used to her new bike...
driveway art...lyla's chicken (the purple one on the left) is "pooping out eggs" all over my giraffe.  that girl:)
boat building while on a bike ride on the greenbelt...
lyla had some help:)
some quality time with sam

nothing is better than summer popsicles in the shade
he is SO much like his daddy:)there was more, but i was too busy enjoying it to blog about it.  let's just say it was my very most favorite spring of all time and call it a day.
