playgroup

we had playgroup at our house yesterday. do you know how difficult it is to get four or five 2 and 3 year old kids to look at a camera? i tried the "what do i have on my head" trick, but only eli looked, he said "hair" and looked away. it was a fun time with friends.

sweetness...

today i was wiping off eli's hands after lunch and he said, "thank you sweetheart mama." oh my, i melted. so sweet.

leslie gulch

adam was sick today with some sort of bug. so eli and i went with my parents and grandma and grandpa hobb to a place called leslie gulch. it is in oregon, almost a two hour drive from here (oh, how i love the dvd player. eil was a champ with its company). anyway, this place was beautiful, amazing rock formations in all different colors. i couldn't get a picture of it, but there was actually a lavender color rock. eli had a grand time beetle and "yizzerd" hunting. it was a wonderful 72 degrees, sunny...ahhhh!

this morning...

we were in the kitchen this morning and the sun was shining on eli's beautiful blond hair. i tried to capture it, but how can you capture the morning sun on your baby?

What a difference 5 days makes....

if you look at the posting from the 9th, just 5 days ago, we had snow. not just flurries, but actual snow on the ground. today it was 82 degrees, sunny and beautiful. we set up our fountain, eli says he likes "his fountain." the second picture is of our hike yesterday. adam and eli were racing down the hill. it is so nice to be outside in the sunshine!!!

25 weeks

we had another ultrasound this week. she looks healthy and everything measured correctly. my belly is ever growing, but not too uncomfortable yet. i'm feeling better, the nausea is gone. now i'm just tired, but i don't think that will be resolved for another few years.

Think Spring!?!

this is what we woke up to this morning. eli was ecstatic and immediately wanted to get a bowl and spoon to eat the tasty flakes. it is now 1pm and it is all gone, hopefully until november.

fun times...

eli has been a crack up lately. he has been quite silly (for him). he's been singing to himself (and us) playing by himself (amazing) and all around being a fun guy (love it!).

things he has said lately...

not wanting to go to bed, he was crying quite hard, tears streaming down his face he said, "my nose is running from my eyyyyyyyyeeees!" - i guess he has not cried a lot to the point of real tears and he did not know what was going on:)

yesterday he and adam went into the mountains for a hike. adam called me on the way home and eli was yelling in the background, "i want to talk to mama!" he got on and told me he cut himself (with a saw on adam's knife) cutting down i don't know what. but the kicker was when i asked him how the hike was and he said, "i saw poop on the ground!" i asked what kind (not sure why) he replied correctly, "deer poop!" like it was the most exciting thing in the whole world. i guess at age 2 poop on the ground is pretty exciting.
