swan falls

we made the drive out to kuna today to go to vogel farms. it is a small family farm that sells all natural, grass and grain fed, antibiotic and hormone free beef, pork and chicken. the best part is that it's all at a reasonable price. since we were already out that way (and it was sunny out there!) we went to swan falls. the kids had a good time romping the grounds. it was a really beautiful day, i just can't believe it's january.

lyla found a rock she could climb. she was sighing, huffing and puffing as she scaled the face. so proud.

eli brought his gun so he could "shoot a bird, a goose or maybe a deer." he told lyla all about it on the way. she was so interested, responding with an enthusiastic "yeah!"

the drive out to swan falls is nothing but a bunch of nothing...but it's so beautiful. i guess it's beauty in simplicity.
