lylagirl is going to be turning 10 in a few days. today she received a birthday card signed by her sunday school teacher and her children’s ministry pastor. it meant so much to her...”i LOVE this church! no other church has ever sent me a birthday card. they always try to make you feel welcome! i love it!”  thank you Jesus, for using others to show our girl your love.

we saw a bald eagle pretty close and got some good pics, not until we got home and downloaded the pictures did we notice the second one to the left. facepalm.

oh my gosh, this girl. she still has such a since of self that i hope she maintains as she grows. love her silly, spunky, introverted, witty personality. she's a special one.

this is kind of a big deal for a person who can do backflips yet has a difficult time keeping upright on flat surfaces;)

mtn. fun day

we hit bogus for a day of coasting, bungie tramp, tubing, climing and lift riding. it was warm, but nothing like the valley. live music was a plus:)

the tramps messed up eli's stomach so bad that lyla had to rock climb solo...

summer tubing doesn't compare to winter tubing, but we had to give it a go

floating is a fav around here. this was our second day on the river, but it never gets old to me:) bummed i didn't get pics of the adults. twylla, grandma and papa came with us.

the last time lenore was in idaho was when we were in escrow with our first house in boise. that was 13 years ago! it was so fun to have them here for a visit. thomas didn't want to join the pic, but he was here too:)

the 4th

we LOVE the 4th. LOVE America. LOVE bike parades and fireworks and family and friends...all ready to ride!

 we took a float with the hills and swans (and half of boise!). it was so busy, but once we were on the river it was just perfect

 and because a bike parade, greenbelt walk, and river float just weren't enough to celebrate America's birth, we went down to ann morrison for one of the coolest firework displays ever. the risinger's joined us.

independence day eve

since i like to go to the big fireworks downtown on the 4th, we celebrate with our own show on the 3rd. we had a ton of fun with this crew.

these two are the best of buds these days. they didn't even do most of the fireworks, snuggling on a blanket with their stuffed animals was much more fun.

these guys were the exact opposite of what was going on above...

the 4th of July is this guys happiest day of the year...yes, way above even Christmas.
