lyla has been writing messages (in her secret language, of course) and putting them in her “coat pocket" (her bathrobe).

she was showed me the messages, but had to whisper their content.  here are some that i can recall…

spring, yay!

the warmer weather has been sooooo nice. rides and scoots on the scooters have been many. yesterday we found a bunch of snakes on the greenbelt. adam caught one and eli REALLY wanted to hold it...

Easter

we had a really nice Easter.  the kids are getting older.  they understand more.  they “get it” as much as one can.   we made resurrection cookies on Easter eve.  each ingredient had a verse that went along with it.  as they put each ingredient in, Adam read the verse.  then they “sealed” (taped) the oven/tomb and left them in there over night.  in the morning we unsealed the tomb and enjoy the cookies, which have a hallow space in the middle representing Christ's empty tomb.  this will definitely be a tradition from here on out.

one cool thing about buying a house in the fall/winter is that when spring comes your yard has surprises for you…
