taylor family part 2

this was a cool river spot in middleton. we had never been there before, but hope to go back soon!

the kids loved the rope swing and jumping off the “cliff.”

it took a lot to get her to swing, so i was so happy to see this happy face pop out  of the water.

we did do a few things not involving water, like picking potatoes with grandma:)

we’ve had a great visit with the taylor fam.

we hit every body of water we could:) first lucky peek.  we call this hover-tubing…

the marker 14 fire came right up to the lake.  we had perfect spots to watch the helicopters fill their buckets to dump on the fire.

at one spot the fire came right down to the lake, it’s crazy how loud the crackle and pop of a little fire can be!

we had a fun little get away and saw A LOT of cool stuff. the shoshone ice caves, perrine memorial bridge, craters of the moon, malad gorge, and niagara springs. oh yeah, don’t forget the hotel pool, that was a popular spot:)

we took a trip to the twin falls area last weekend to see some new sights.  craters of the moon exceeded my expectations.  the caves were pretty cool, literally and figuratively.  we spend all day exploring the caves. it was crazy to think that LAVA had been flowing through the very caves we were walking through. loved it.

after shimmying down deep into one of the caves you come to the end and there is ICE on the ground. keep in mind that it is 90 degrees or so above ground, but down here there is this. crazy

the wind was blowing so hard that it picked ups these little rocks and threw them at your legs. it hurt!

such an amazing place. looking forward to visiting there again for sure.

the scholars came to visit and over lapped with jesse. it was fun to have everyone together.
