botanical gardens

jesse and molly got here yesterday for a visit. we had a good time at the gardens today.

SWITCHFOOT

adam and i have loved switchfoot since high school.  they have remained one of my favorite bands over the years and we FINALLY got to see them live. we were up on this balcony and jon foreman CLIMBED up to give our kids high fives!

lacrae was up next. eli was SO excited.  here lacrae was singing eli’s favorite song, “tell the world.”

but the best part, the very.best.part. was after the concert. we heard that jon foreman may be at a local coffee shop for a solo performance after the official concert. so we took a chance and drove downtown at 11pm (yes, the kids were still tired but willing) to see if he was there…and he WAS! it was my favorite concert experience ever.  i love jon foreman and his heart to connect with people, show Gods love and be a part of something bigger than himself. it was such a blessing to be there.

soccer

lyla has loved her first soccer season. she was on a fun team with an encouraging coach. she says she wants to be a professional soccer player when she grows up:)

a wedding

callie and dustin got married! it was a beautiful wedding and fun night. look at these cuties! this is one fun bunch!

lyla saw me painting a gift for the bride and groom and wanted to join in. i loved it and DID NOT want to give it away, hahaha.

mother’s day x2

i got to celebrate mother’s day twice. once with the kids and adam…

…and another with everyone. a bike ride to the sandbar for dinner and live music. am beyond bless both with being a mama and having an amazing mom.  the way she invests in our family is a model that has spoken to me over the years.  she gives our kids the most important gift: TIME. she gives hours upon hours (sometimes whole weekends!) of her life to sleepovers, hotel visits, bug festivals, road trips, boat rides on the lake, days at the river, and countless other things that i’m forgetting.  all of this to make life fun and build memories. i’m so thankful!!!

public works week

the city of meridian had their public works week.  adam had a booth for the wastewater division.

the kids got to operate a tractor, which was a hit…

rocket fuel

look at that happy face, i’m positive fire is his love language.if there is one thing that has held eli’s interest his whole life, it’s fire.  he’s moved on from making his own little fires to making rocket fuel and fuses.  of course, he can’t do this by himself, so adam made him one happy camper this weekend by indulging in some rocket fuel fun…
