too big

luke, one of eli's friends, just asked him why we are moving out of our house.
eli replied, "my daddy is getting too big for this house."

i guess he's been hearing a ton of, "we're outgrowing this house." daddy's the biggest one of us, so it must be his fault.

our playgroup took a field trip to pecto last week. the kids had a great time petting the animals and feeding the fish.

we've been packing up the house and getting ready for the move. today was a successful packing/family fun day. we packed, chased each other, packed, played games, packed and ate pocibuls (popsicles) on the back deck. so bitter sweet. many popcicles have been eaten out there. only 10 more days left...better buy some more pocibuls.

bath times are good times in the jennings home...until it come to hair washing time. lyla detests having her hair rinsed. just detests it. the crying routine is getting old, even to eli. last night in the tub he said, "mom, if she doesn't listen...just punch her." thanks for the idea, i'll pass though.

these are the flowers he's been picking for me. i just put a bowl on the counter and he's been adding more to it here and there. i love that he knows how to treat a lady.

nothing says class like a lawn chair in the front yard...

i've been wanting one of these with cup holders for the the upcoming river season, so adam got me this cute pink one for mother's day. i know, where am i at in life when i get a lawn chair for mother's day and am excited about it? here, that's where i am. it's a good spot.

we had the wiebers over a few weeks ago, it was a really fun evening visiting and playing...i just came upon this picture and had to post the cuteness

holland is such a sweet friend. she really took an interest in lyla and played with her much of the evening. when lyla fell on the slide stairs holland valiantly tried to catch her. unfortunately, lyla went crash and the tears came...first from lyla, then from holland. if anyone wants to know what a "what are you crying about?" look looks like, just ask lyla. she can do one pretty well. she didn't quite understand what happened there, but i did. i'm so happy that lyla has friends that care for her.
