not that they were extremely funny or brilliant, but because i remember thinking these same thoughts when i was a kid…

fall is great for hiking

the cooler weather is a hiking magnet.  we’ve gotten out a bit and hiked table rock and military reserve.  when i say “hike” i mean more like “walk on dirt,” not “hike” as in “summit-or-bust-hiking-boots-required-must-bring-water-filter-freeze-dried-food.”

the kids did great on the table rock hike.  lyla hitched a ride on dads shoulders a few times, but eli did great with almost no complaint.  yay for him!  here he is pointing at “the table.”

i forgot how fun the caves are!
